INSTRUMENT MAKING

A manufacturing method from the Italian masters of the 17th and 18th centuries. Because the job of a luthier is an art, it is essential for us to extend the tradition of the Italian masters, thanks to a keen sense of aesthetics, a respect for the raw material and the sound as an absolute finality.

A careful selection of woods used for your instrument.

Spruce          Mapple           Willow           Boxwood           Ebony

Because wood is a living material, its choice will influence the color of the sound due to its density, its elasticity, its cut, its moisture sensitivity. Each piece of wood is unique and reveals itself under the blows of our tools to give life to an instrument which will have its own identity.

Varnishing is a crucial step. The choice of varnish and the know-how in its application are decisive; through the aesthetic choices and its texture, they will sublimate the instrument and its sound. This step requires just as much experience, patience and thoroughness as any other.

Thanks to the right adjustment, our expertise, in agreement with the musician and his perception, we will make sure to find the best sound for your instrument and optimize its potential.
